A Place of Light's creation was inspired by a three year old child. We invite you to read the story.
WHO IS THE INTUITIVE CHILD?
There is much written about the intuitive child. A wide variety of labels were developed: indigo, starseed, crystal, rainbow, maybe more. The term indigo was coined by Nancy Tappe as she saw much of that color in the auras of intuitive children. That makes sense as indigo is the color of the third eye, or eye that sees far as roughly translated from Navajo. Other terms are used now: highly aware, highly sensitive, and so forth...
What it all boils down to is that the individual's soul is well connected with both the body that is inhabited as well as the energy found throughout the universe in all its manifestations. Because of this connection, energetic language, intuition, flows freely into the body and is incorporated into the brain's experiences as well as accepted by the brain.

OUR BOOK, SOULFUL PARENTING
Our book, Soulful Parenting, reflects the knowledge acquired over a lifetime about not only the developmental needs of a child but also how to incorporate the child's intuitive nature into every day life. From conception to adolescence, you can find wisdom from both the Cayce Readings and personal experience.
Chapter Four, "Early Childhood" addresses the needs of the child from birth to about age eight. Here is an excerpt:
Child developmentalists consider early childhood to span the years from birth to eight years of age. During this time, the child is making sense of her world, learning more than she will at any other time in her life. Yet from a spiritual perspective, she will forget more than is possible to imagine. Balancing these two phenomena is the task of the parent: assisting her in learning how to manage in the physical world while staying in touch with her spiritual knowledge.
One of the reasons we choose to come to inhabit a body is because it is such a useful tool in helping us realize when we are living outside the ways of spiritual laws. Just as our physical sensations of discomfort let us know something is amiss with our bodies, our emotions let us know something is amiss with spiritual practices. Optimal physical health occurs when we care for our bodies in accordance to best practices. Optimal emotional health occurs when we care for our spiritual lives in accordance to best practices. Briefly, the Cayce readings tell us that these best practices include being cooperative, formulating our personal ideal, having faith, being open, practicing the presence of spirit, knowing ourselves, being patient, practicing love, fellowship and oneness with all, embracing our crosses and turning them into crowns and having a clear understanding of the destiny of our mind, body and soul.

SERVICES FOR CHILDREN
We provide the same services for the intuitive child that we do adults. Age really has no bearing on spiritual abilities.
If your child is beset with anxiety, depression, reports seeing spirit people or hearing voices, we can offer insight in clear terms along with tools that allow for understanding and transformation in how these events are handled.
Our Living in Your Heart class has had students as young as 11 study with us for several years. Our family sessions are especially effective in bringing the entire family together to gain an understanding of what is happening in the child's experiences and how to handle them.
