The Inspiration for Creating A Place of Light

A Place of Light's creation was inspired by a three year old child. We invite you to read the story.

The Background of the Beginnings
|
After this experience, Susan Gale began to wonder how many children were being lost because they were not seen through the correct lens. She wanted to open a center for such children. Her first step was to contact the Association for Research and Enlightenment in VA Beach, which has stewardship for Edgar Cayce Readings and resulting information. There, she was led to Peggy Day, now Peggy Griebner as she married and moved to California. The two women corresponded by email for six months when Peggy wrote, "Let's start a school."
In April of 2003, A Place of Light (APOL) was opened. It is interesting that Peggy's meditation led the two women to the Leicester area of Massachusetts. Neither woman knew anyone there as Peggy lived in Mystic, Connecticut and Susan lived in Albany, New York at the time. However, both women trusted spiritual guidance and the move and opening were accomplished. What We Planned is NOT What Happened! |

However, the work to be done at APOL unfolded in an entirely different direction. While we have always worked with children, most of our work is with adults. People have come from all walks of life, many different faiths, and all levels of intuitive abilities.
Currently, A Place of Light is not directed by any one person. Rather it is managed by a small group of people who are like-minded about doing this work and serving those who wish to understand intuition. Working by consensus, they develop and manage the many workshops, classes, and annual retreats and holistic fairs that A Place of Light hosts. But We Stayed True to our Mission! |

|
Focusing on our mission, holding a space where people can find their unique connection to spirit, this group has reached thousands of people, creating a space for them to see and experience life in a different way.
We would be honored if you also made use of this space to discover your unique connection to spirit, which will, in turn, lead you to a state of clarity and calm. |
