Before I came here, I was riddled with anxiety, self-hatred, and depression as well as overwhelming emotions.
After coming to class, the world became more clear, and I was less confused about life and its meaning. I am more consistently at peace. I am less fearful and more accepting. There is more love, less judgement, and more forgiveness. My anxiety and depression have lightened greatly. I would recommend someone take this class because it can open one’s mind to a more simple, joyous, and peaceful way of life. It can open a door to escape the negative patterns that the mind has created and gotten stuck in. Class can also help build a connection with life as a whole. Cecily, student since 2020 |

Let’s get back to intuition.
After 20 years of teaching people to understand their intuition, we realized that we were really teaching about how to interpret any kind of energy found in the universe! So, now we describe intuition as your first language as it is the language of soul, your true, original self! You may be thinking, but how do I learn to use this language? Just like you taught the mind to recognize letters and sounds as words that have particular meanings, you can teach the mind to recognize how intuition interprets energy. In fact, since 2003, hundreds of people have visited our center to learn this language. As they do, they tell us that

Hollywood has done a good job of making intuitive experiences scary and weird! That's how they make their living!
People who don't understand also do a good job of making sensitive people feel crazy, freaky, or of the devil. All three are false perspectives on being intuitive. At A Place of Light, we believe intuition is your first language as it is the language of soul. Intuition reads the frequencies of energy. But the tricky thing about intuition is that your connection is unique to you. No one else can have your experiences or symbols, so we do not encourage you to read books that promote one meaning for what you see or hear. Your meaning and your connection are, again, unique. All of us have to practice to come to an understanding of our expression of the language. Here, we offer you not only opportunities to learn your unique connection, but also the skills to manage it. This combination provides a winning recipe for a full and less complicated life. |

Since childhood, I had experienced seeing and hearing things I did not understand. I knew what I heard and saw was real, and that I was not "crazy". However, as a trained engineer, I had a hard time reconciling what I was seeing with what I knew of science. Trusting the information I was being shown was also difficult. Coming to APOL taught me to trust my intuition. This trust has opened up a whole new realm of possibilities and ways to receive information from Spirit. It is now a part of my everyday life and makes it so much richer, almost like moving from black and white to technicolor. Patricia has been a student and/or caretaker of APOL since 2009. |
